She was preceded in death by her husband and parents. usings In the last few weeks two men that I use to work with have passed away, One of them. I had the honor to conduct the memorial service. I was told that this person had made a confession to The Heavenly Father, and had accepted Jesus as his Lord and savior. The other person I am not aware of his spiritual condition when he slipped into eternity. There is no doubt that there will be an eternity for everyone, however. the question is where will you spend it? For those who have accepted the Gift that our Heavenly Father so graciously provided will, according to the scriptures, will spend their eternity in heaven. Jesus said, "Let not your heart be troubled you that believe in God believe also in me. In my Father's house are many mansions, and I go to prepare a place for you and if I go I will come again and receive you unto myself, that where I am 50th Anniversary there you will be also." John 14: 1-3 So. how does one assure themselves that they will spend their eternity in heaven? It is really quite simple, since God has already done all the difficult work by allowing His Son to die on the cross for our sins. Yes," We all have sinned, and fall short of the glory of God," Romans 3:23 "The wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." Romans 6:23. "For God so loved the world that He gave his onlY Son that whosoever would believe in Him would not perish but would have eternal life." John 3:16 Heaven awaits all believers in the Lord Jesus Christ, and hell awaits all those that would deny him. Yes, there is a hell. In the Book of Luke. the 16th chapter Jesus tells us of two men that died. one went to paradise, and one went to hell, where he begged to have someone go to his brothers to tell them to repent, so they would not come where he was. Many- people may joke of hell, but it is a real place, where no one would want to go. And no one has to, because the Gift of God's salvation is for everyone. God bless you all. Paul and I would like to say "thank you" to all our fmaaily and friends who helped us celebrate our 50 wedding anniversary. We have been very blessed during those 50 years and on June 19t" two of our most prized blessings (our son Jeff and our daughter Paula) and their precious families gave us a very surprised celebration day. Not only did our kids and their families (my brother from Washington and my brother and his wife from California) make it special by being there but they also invited so many of our special family members and special friends we've shared over the last 50 years and as I looked out over the crowd of everyone there and received cards and cMls from those who couldn't be there, I realize how truly blessed we are and how we need to stay in touch more often.! It was truly a wonderful surprising day and a "big thank you" to all of you who made it happen for us.
