Zion Odd Fellows Golf Outing is August 22 and will be i held at Moweaqua G01f Course. Shotgun start is at 8:00 am. The outing is a four man scramble with handicaps.. From 4 - 9 p.m., students aged 4 - 18 (ages 4 - 13 must be accompanied by an adult) will receive unlimited golf, small fry with a side of cheese sauce, cookie, can of soda, and a froyo stick from Ted's Taters and CherryBerry. Decatur Audubon Society To Meet August 16 The Decatur Audubon Society invites the general public to its third summer meeting on Sunday, August 16, at 3:30 p.m. at the Lincoln Memorial Garden Nature Center, 2301 East Lake Drive, Springfield, Illinois (use Exit 88 off of 1-55). Joel Horweel, Center Director, will talk about the history and mission of the .center as we tour the facility. We will carpool from the west parking lot at the Decatur Conference Center, leaving promptly at 2:30 p.m. After the program we plan to dine at the Cracker Barrel at Exit 90 off 1-55. Guests are alwaYs welcome. Overdose Awareness Day Walk and 5K Race The third annual Overdose Awareness Day Walk and 5K will be held on Saturday, August 29 at the Mt. Zion Lions Center, 1595 W. Main Street in Mt. Zion, Packet pick=up will be 6"30 to 7:30 am with race/walk starting at 8:00 am. Cost for the race/walk is $25. There will be a minimum of three awards in each age division given.
