Alison Ouellette-Kirby
received her bachelor's degree
in sculpture and photography
from the University of Windsor
in 1993 and her master's degree
from the University of Tennessee,
Knoxville in 1996. Her work has
been shown both nationally and
internationally at The National
Ornamental Metal Museum, The
Walker Gallery at the University
of Nebraska at Keamey,
Washington University School
of Medicine, The Art Gallery
of Windsor and String Gallery
in Toronto. She is a professor
of art at St. Charles Community
College in Cottleville, Mo.
Noah Martin Kirby received
his bachelor's degree from the
University of Tennessee in 1998
and his master's degree from
Washirtgton University in 2000.
Noah has worked for Cassily,
Inc. at the City Museum in
St. Louis, Mo., and runs N.K'.
Metalworks in St. Louis. His
work has been shown throughout
North America at such venues
as Bradley University, the
University of Mississippi and
String Gallery in Toronto. He
Currently teaches at Washington
University, the University of
Missouri - St. Louis, and is co-
director of Six Miles Scfilpture
Wgrks and 50 Brick Artist

Perkinson Art Gallery in
Kirkland Fine Arts Center will
showcase the work of sculptors
Alison Ouellette-Kirby and
Noah Martin Kirby beginning
Monday, Nov. 18 through
Friday, Dec. 13. Gallery hours
are Monday through Friday
from 12 noon - 5 p.m. or by
appointment. The exhibition is
free and open to the public.
Communication was the
foundation of this exhibit as
the artists discovered that while
people may basically be saying
the same thing, individual
regional differences may make
their messages seem different.
Reflecting this concept globally,
the semantics of peoples'
conversations frequently gets
in the way of their dialog and
what is actually heard. The
large and small sculptures make
communication "touchable" and
will provide revelations to the

Enjoy the arts with us, as we
• celebrate at the annual Richland
Art Bazaar on December 4 from
10 a.m. tO 3 p.m. in the Mueller
Student Center and the Erlanson
Art Gallery. Festivities include
student portfolio presentations,
music and dance performances,
fine art exhibits, and an art bazaar
with Richland and community
artists.
The Art Bazaar features a fine
arts sale of the works of Richland
Community College faculty,
staff, and students/alumni.
Students in the graphic arts,
photography, drawing, ceramics,
painting, etc. will present their
work in mini-presentations
of their best pieces either via
PowerPoint or exhibition at the
Erlanson Art Gallery. On the
Mueller stage will be music
performance with guitarist
Derek Cordoba, Richland
music faculty, and dancing by
the Richland hip hop and belly
dance classes, Chinese dance,
and Nutcracker excerpts from
the Richland Dance Company.
